 Fairpoint's New Online Payment System

On March 11th, I received an email from FP saying they finally had their online payment system up and running. As advised at the account login page, I contacted FP for a password reset. Tech support wasn't even sure of my username, and left me with guessing at a combination of usernames and passwords to experiment with.

After hours of trial and error, I finally got into my account, and made a payment. For a week, I've been checking my bank statements, and could see no payment made to FP. And, attempting to log back into my FP continuously resulted in a message, "The server you are trying to access is either busy or experiencing difficulties. Please close the Web browser, open a new browser window, and try logging in again."

I finally somehow got back into my account (seems one must have popups enabled at some point), and saw no payment under my Payment History.

I called FP with every intention to control my temper. (I failed, but not miserably.) "Kate" said they are having problems with the payment system. SURPRISE SURPRISE! I voiced my strong opinion (or should I say I voiced my opinion strongly?) that FP should not have even put their online payment system out there as an option if there was ANY problem with it. Kate did concede to this.

And what the hell were they thinking to expect anyone, let alone those who need a professional online presence, to want the name "myfairpoint.net" after their username? It sounds like some backwoods ISP. Then again, I understand that's how Fairpoint started...

Well, I've gotta go... Need to get out my checkbook and address an envelope to an inept bunch of people...

They can't even get my password to me in order to use the online payment center.
