Personally I use Thunderbird when not using Outlook.
I like and use Thunderbird also.

To the OP, you can download and use Live Mail. Its pretty close to OE and Windows Mail and works as advertised. I just like Thunderbird better.

Since there no longer will be any OE or Windows Mail, do you (or anyone else) know if backup/restore programs specifically utilized with those apps such as Express Assist will work with Windows Live Mail?
