 Cap Question

We all know to well the 5GB cap that Verizon imposes on data card users...but I was wondering if there is a way I can prevent my card from connecting once I reach that cap, so I don't have to worry about getting slammed with overage charges. I'm using it through a desktop and ICS connected to a wireless router, so I can't be monitoring the usage 100% of the time. Anyone have any ideas?

I would like to know this as well, as I was going to add a wireless connection to supplement my unreliable Charter cable...I am also afraid of going over. There are programs that monitor your use, but I don't know how good they are.

As far as I know you cannot do as you wish. Can tell you it takes but a few seconds to check into your Verizon account to see what your usage is.

I don't know about cutting off your connection once you hit your cap, but I use netmeter to monitor all my traffic going out my wireless card. It gives you all kinds of stats including daily and monthly totals.
