| reply to pab770 If it's still on, on Monday, it could be permanent. This is the end of the month. Although Verizon shut off the previews of Red Zone, Spanish package and Center Ice after the announced end date passed. I don't understand why they would make such a change and not inform anyone though? All I know is the local Comcast and Cablevision services in NNJ include NHL and NBA channels in the expanded cable packages, not the sports packages. Maybe Verizon wised up finally? |

| reply to jimboe said by jimboe :I wonder if it's coming thru un-encrypted. That should answer the question as to whether it is still a "preview" for us new yorkers, or if it has been added to the HD Extreme tier for us like it is for every1 else. Im too tired/lazy to check now Maybe someone else can. Geez, you guys are lazy-er than me!
OK I finally checked. It *is* Encrypted.
Take that for what it's worth New Yorkers.
Obviously, still on here in bk. |

@verizon.net | reply to pab770 I'm in South Jersey and NHL Center Ice is no longer available on FiOS, or so verizon tells me. Two nights ago it was working, last night it cut off. Anyone know about this??? |

| reply to pab770 I still cannot get NBA TV SD in Summit, NJ (NNJ). It still says that it's part of the $7.99 a month Sports package. I still can receive NBA TV HD. What should I do? Should I call Verizon and ask for a reset of my boxes which could either add NBA TV SD or scramble up NBA TV HD? I had a similar problem earlier this year with MLB Network HD being unavailable but the SD channel was available. I had called Verizon to do a reset of my boxes and that solved the problem. |

I wonder how many people subscribed to the sports package to get NHL Network and won't ever know they are paying extra for nothing now |

| reply to matcarl I'm glad I check these forums every couple of days. When I called verizon a couple of weeks ago to get the quad plan discount, I figured I'd order the sports package to get NBA and NHL channels as those are the 2 I'd miss the most. With the new quad plan discount I was still making out by 7$. After reading yours and Franks posts, I just went into myverizon and cancelled sports package and hope I still get those channels. Since you guys always give great advice, I'm confident that I now have the channels I want and the full quad plan discount. Thanks alot guys, I really appreciate all the great info you provide. By the way, I'm on Long Island too. |

| reply to matcarl said by matcarl :Yeah, try it. You have to ask for a STB "Reload" like you did for MLB, not "reset" Well, I called Verizon today and explained to them that I was receiving NBA TV HD (channel 589) but not NBA TV SD (channel 89) and that I requested a "reload" of all my STBs. After a long wait, the Verizon representative told me that he was receiving error messages while trying to do the "reload" and then he found out that there was a technical problem within Verizon's system and that he could not do the "reload" today and that I should call back tomorrow. He gave me a ticket number which I hope works when I call again tomorrow. I will let you know what happens tomorrow on whether or not I finally get NBA TV SD. |

| reply to pab770 Well, I called Verizon today and the representative did do the "reload" but unfortunately the "You are not subscribed to" message still appeared on channel 89 (NBA TV SD). I clearly asked for a "reload" and that's what he said he had given my STBs. I requested another "reload" but unfortunately the same thing happened - no NBA TV SD. He placed me on hold and then came back and told me the following. He said that NBA TV SD is only available to Extreme HD or Sports package customers but NBA TV HD is available to Premier, Extreme HD or Sports package customers. I am a Premier customer. So I asked him about NHL Network (both the SD and HD channels) and he said that Premier, Extreme HD or Sports package customers should receive both the SD and HD versions of NHL Network. I told the guy that it doesn't make sense that the HD version of NBA TV is available to me but I would have to upgrade to either Extreme HD or the Sports package in order to receive the SD version of NBA TV and the guy agreed with me but there wasn't anything he could do about it. So I guess I will have to use my HD TV to watch NBA TV and be grateful that I have that. I still think it's unfair that Verizon had split the 2 versions of NBA TV into separate packages. |
