| reply to Queens RR Hi, i just purchase a sb6120 with the firmware 1.0.1.8 and i got time warner to provision the modem but there is a constant drop where i have to restart the modem over and over like 10 times before i can get a steady signal before it drops again in a hour or so. The time and date that i am receiving on the modem is also wrong it is a day faster than the present time.
If anyone could help with this or suggestion i would to hear it.
I talk to a t3 like 3 times already and each one is telling it is fine the line looks good but then it drops as i talk to them. I even disconnected my router from the modem and attached directly to the computer and it still drops.
Please any time warner guys or anyone with knowledge to solve i would love you all. Or i will go to verizon dsl til fios rolls out for brooklyn in Sunset area.
Thanks. |

can you comfirm upstream symbol rate? is it at 2.56m/s? |
|
  Queens RR
@rr.com
| reply to foxxici5 16QAM is correct. they are cheap to upgrade, or dont feel the need to apparently. where are you located at foxxici? im at 136 and 59th. they did a node split about a year ago, and always get the right speeds even with rr standard.. Plus my signal levels are great: Receive Power Level 9.5 dBmV Transmit Power Level 40.0 dBmV |

1 edit | reply to Queens RR i never had 50/5, closest i had is 46/3.2 but only few hours, most of the time is 25/0.8 the firmware on mine is 1.0.1.8 logs are time out something after reset the modem(9 logs) and time is 1970, never changed after connect
one more question, for those of you using motorola sb6120, what upstream symbol rate you guys have?
i only have 2.56m/s maybe thats why i am kind slow on upload speed?
Upstream Modulation [5] 16QAM, i read, this should be 64QAM... |
