| [Other] LAN Slow, Internet Speed Fine
Ok, I don't understand this at all. LAN file transfers are going ridiculously slow (800KB/sec) between two computers on my LAN (a WHS server, wired, and another computer on 802.11g WiFi) even though the WiFi connected computer can access the full 20/5mbit internet connection no problem.
There connected through a Buffalo WHR-G54S that's running Tomato. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated...I can't see any reason for it being this ridiculously slow.
Also, as mentioned, the one computer is running WHS (wired) and the wireless one is running Windows 7. |

Laurel, MD | Just did a quick test. It seems that in XP, the transfer speed jumps to 2mb/sec (used a laptop to test it out, same room, etc.). |
