said by imrf :WOW simply can not compete any more. Yep, and I'm sorry to see it happening. Without WOW keeping Comcast in check I'd hate to think of what my bill would be like.
So, for me it's the moral dilemma, do I support the little guy or go with the absolute best price? |

WOW simply can not compete any more. And we are giving other WOW members who may be considering the option to switch a bit of info in case they decide to. Even after my switch I still will recommend WOW to the people that I think will benefit from WOW. What's worse is a kid who trolls here, who has no idea what he's talking about, posting useless comments. OK! Gramps whatever! Enjoy Your Comcraptastic experience! |

| reply to Clocker1000 This sounds really good to me as well, the only thing that might hold me back from pulling the trigger is they are missing some of the HD Channels that we watch, namely: Speed & FX, but I haven't compared the whole list yet. More/Better VOD, Movie Channels that we don't have today, more hardware then we have today, not to mention the price. I think the pros might be outweighing the cons. Now to explain it to the boss, lol |

| reply to imrf said by imrf :said by The Joker :then downgraded. $30 off per month! lol Well duh.. when you downgrade you should save money. I could downgrade my WOW service and pay less if I wanted. But instead I can get the same services with Comcast, and get me HD channels, way more VOD and continual upgrades for everything and pay even less. Quit trolling. I don't call 15/1 download a downgrade with advance phone, and Digital Value HD with DVR for $90 a downgrade!
Troll harder! |

Look at the first post in this thread and see what we're getting and paying. You'll see that for $90 we get more that what you supposedly get.
I know WOW won't come close to the price of that package, you can try and lie to everyone else on here. You're only making yourself look foolish.
More features with WOW??? You're a dreamer. WOW doesn't have any features any more. |

| reply to Clocker1000 Does anyone know for sure what internet speed (download and upload) they are offering with this deal? From reading the posts it sounds like someone upgraded to the 16/2 for $10 more per month. Anyone have the scoop on this?
Thanks,

| reply to Clocker1000 Both companys have thier good points. I miss the speed from CC for the same price im paying for wow. When they (comcast) came to do the "Transition to Digital" witch they claimed i must have to keep the service. They slapped an extra $250 on my bill for the install. After 2 months of back and forth BS'n with them i went with wow. I brought my box back to the office and thought i was done with them. About 3 weeks later a cable tech showed up at my house and cut all the wireing off the ouside of my house (witch i installed myself) and left my house cabeless and phoneless. The wow service was already up and running at that point. I'll never go back to comcast. Wow ISP ain't no better with a 5gig NewsGroup D/L limit, and Band throttleing. I have no other options though other than the open wireless connections i can hit from my nieghbors, college, and the library. If you use CCast and ever need tech support ask for level 3 tech support right off the bat, it should save you about 20 minutes and 20 times of explaining your problem too and dealing with inadequite morons. Over the 7 years i had them they replaced my modem 4 times- no questions asked. If wow wont replace the modem i have now i am going with a haxoware modem from ebay. The wow arris modem no longer gives an address to my switch. I have checked the modems config file and routing is turned off, i don't know if it was allways like that or not. The switch works, i used it in this location about a month ago and was working yesterday i took it back from my sister's house
Good Luck with CC Andrew |

| reply to Clocker1000 Is there a site, or spot on this site that tracks current cable (Mainly, WOW and Comcast) promos? I'm currently paying $107.50 for DigitalBasic,15/1 internet and 1 DVR. No need for their voip as Ooma has served me well, but if I have to adjust my bandwidth consumption to get HD channels with a DVR for the same price or cheaper, it's definitely got my attention. |

| reply to Inflex said by Inflex :Holy c**p man, that's something like $30 over their current published prices. Not from what I am seeing. Their published price for Xtreme Internet (15/1), Digital Basic Cable and Advanced Phone is $124.99
The HD DVD is listed at 12.99 month HBO and Showtime are listed at $15.00 month each Digital Converters are $6.99 month
Add all that up, and it's $174.97 a month. Then of course, you have taxes, fees, etc on top of that which make up your total bill. |
