| [BC] Price goes up with every statement
What's going on with billing rates for Shaw High-Speed Internet? Up until recently, the price has been relatively stable at $40.95 per month. Then in April, the price went up to $41.95 per month. Then in September, the price went up again to $43.95 per month.
And now that Shaw has rebranded, StarChoice as Shaw Direct, why are they not offering bundle pricing that includes Shaw Direct?
I note that this latest price increase is hot on the heals of an article published in the Vancouver Sun recently, that ranked Canada has having one of the highest costs (and lowest average speeds) for Internet services in the world. When you compare speed to price, we are ranked as a third-world country.
What gives? |

Reason why is that the satellite service, contrary to their normal Shaw cable service, is available country-wide, where the normal internet/IP phone service ain't available. So I don't think they can offer bundles on the Satellite service, out of fairness...
.....but then again, Bell does it, I might be wrong.... |

Maybe they will offer bundles eventually, but the Shaw Direct and Shaw Cable are currently completely different entities. Perhaps if they amalgamate the systems of both companies it would be possible, but as of right now it's impossible. |

| It's almost like they decided to raise the price and see if anyone complained, and if not, raise it again. I can get a pretty reasonable bundle with Telus's new Turbo service. Maybe it's time for a change.
I was one of the original pre-release testers for Roger's Wave when it was first introduced. Had it ever since. But I don't think brand loyalty buys you anything these days. |

They just don't care anymore....
As for switching providers just beware the grass is not always greener on the other side...
