This is what I've got currently (1.6.0_18-ea-b01) before installing this update.

So just exactly what build is the correct one? why would I want to go backwards.

Thank you, automatic Java updater that makes human notifications gratuitous. Thanks, Sun developers who programmed the updater.

On my Win 7 (64-bit) system, the Java Control Panel applet in this version will not save any setting changes. The fix is to set javacpl.exe to always run in administrator mode. Hope this is helpful!

The auto-updater had this waiting for me when I got home - 17-b04 shows as the version I got.

I usually do the offline, too, as the auto-updater never before saw an update right away. But since it was there, telling me... It seemed easier.

If using the offline installer MarkAW See Profile uninstall the build you installed earlier and reinstall again.

MarkAW See Profile, you're using a Beta build - from Early Access program.
