WNHDE111 and XBOX

Please review my network below. My problem is that My xbox does not detect network if my htpc is switched. However as soon as a switch the htpc on, xbox also connects to the network.

Hence to play xbox live, If have to turn on my HTPC.

Thankyou

Wait a minute here Storage Computer is that wired desktop?
These WNHDE111 N only 5GHz AP Client and you got Wireless G 2.4GHz in the loop.

WRT54G - AP 802.11g only
from that you go into ---Storage Computer and WNHDE111
Then you bounce off the WNHDE111 to
2nd WNHDE111 where you got it connected to HTPC and XBOX 360 how come you don't use a external switch here okay I see it has two 10/100 ports on the rear.

Something flaky with the 2nd WNHDE111 duff ports or not working with your Linksys or the first WNHDE11 you should have stuck it out with more Linksys WRT54 and install DD-WRT on them.

How far is the second WNHDE111 or do you have a external switch connect that into the port that works with the XBOX then connect the Xbox into that external and the HTPC.

The second WNHDE111 is about 15 metres away. It works perfectly allright with my htpc. However has issues with xbox.

Until and unless i put my htpc on. Xbox does not connect to network and even when my htpc is on it disconnects randomly.

So what are your thoughts.

What PVR software are you running on that box? There is either a port being used on both HTPC and XBOX that you might have configured for one or the other. XBOX can't access the internet with the HTPC on? Does the HTPC access the internet also again which software like SageTV or Linux base PVR?
