| pfsense open port 53
Guys,
Just did a portscan of myself from Gibson's Shields Up Port Scanner, and realized my firewall has port 53 (dns) open on the internet side. I'm running pfsense, and there is no rule in my firewall list that has port 53 open. The only thing I can think of that would have port 53 open, is the FTP helper app that is running within pfsense?
Any ideas/thoughts? Is it real bad to have port 53 open like that?

| try shutting down the program you feel may be opening the port, and rescan. You will find out if that's the culprit right away.
Having any port in an open state can leave you vulnerable to an attack, sure.
