Stuck on DSLX at lower speed and pissed

6 weeks ago I downgraded my DSL speed (from 6Mbps) whilst I took a long vacation (and I was told I could upgrade when I came back).

I came back and attempted to upgrade my speed and was told that I was no longer eligible for any speed >1.5Mbps.

I was also then told that I was stuck with DSLx until Aug 2010 because I was on a contract.

Now I am total pissed. I was told when I downgraded that I could go back to 6Mbps. Now due to my contract, I cannot move providers (even though AT&T have qualified me to do 6Mbps) and I am stuck on a speed that is too slow for the work I do (I need a faster upload path).

Not happy DSLX !

This can happen if AT&T changed their distance requirements or provisioning rules since you were previously on that package. If you were up and running on the other package recently and working fine, we can place a manual override order with them and attempt to get you at the higher speed tier. You would need to give us a call to get the order processed into the system though as we would have to override it on the back-end.

Thanks

I tried to do that and the customer service person refused.

Feel free to send over your account info via IM. I will have someone give you a call. I am currently out of the office so it may not be until tomorrow morning though.

Thanks
