Am thinking about it. Not sure if I like having to add $30 or $45 a month more onto my bill for the mandatory data plan (you have to pick one to get the phone).

I was at Fry's today & looked like they were advertising for it, but too many sales people were around the display of phones, so I didn't look at it. |

My wife and I went Friday afternoon about 3pm to our local VZW store. They had plenty in stock, no waiting. She got hers all set up and out the door in about 30-40 minutes. I have to wait thanks to VZs stupid "new every two" policy. There's no way I'm going to pay full price ($559) for one.
Talked to the sales girl, she said they had sold about 40 of them that day in that store.
The phone itself is VERY nice. I have her 3 email accounts all set up to sync with the phone, calendar and contacts synced with her gmail account automatically.
The only thing really lacking is an app to sync music and video like iTunes. You apparently have to transfer them by copying the files to the flash card either directly or via the USB cable then the phone will "discover" them. I haven't tried to see if you can copy via bluetooth yet.
Overall we're very impressed with the phone and the fact that VZ doesn't appear to have "crippled" the features of the phone as they have in the past.

That's fine for a computer savvy person like you and me, but my wife is very much not computer savvy.
The Contacts/email/calendar are very intuitive and GUI driven. The music and video, not at all. It is a bit much for non-computer folks to deal with, in my opinion.

Was planning on looking at the Droid before this information was leaked out. |
