[TV] Telus TV is stealing my Internet Download speed.

Telus TV is stealing my Internet Download speed.

My DSL line is capable of 25+ Mbps according to my 2-wire modem/router. I am signed up for the Service Plan called "High Speed Enhanced (V5)" and expected the "Speeds of 1.5 - 6.0 Mbps" would be 6 Mbps for me because the high speed capability of my feed. Now that I also have TTV with 2 STB's and no High Def. channels my DSL line speed is set to 7 Mbps. My internet access is limited to 3 Mbps maximum and the video is at a higher priority and can rob some of the internet bandwidth. If 1 STB is on a typical TV channel then I still get only 3 Mbps internet download speed. When the 2nd STB is set for a music channel I still get 3 Mbps download speed. However, when the 2nd STB is set for a TV channel download speed is reduced to 0.4 to 0.7 Mbps. I'm disappointed.

What words or phrases do I need to get 6 Mbps download speed the next time I call telus?

D-Link DVA G3810BN Gateway

As of yesterday this gateway replaces the 2-Wire 2700HG-E for TTV. The 2Wire is being discontinued by Telus and will no longer be produced by 2Wire. The Siemen's Gigaset will be used for adsl, and the Thomson Speedtouch will be used for Lite Highspeed and business.

Telus also stocks a D-link high gain antenna, so the customer can get more distance with his wireless connection.

TELUS Call Forwarding Line Hunt

Hello there,

I posted something like this a while back, but I'm reposting it to hopefully get some suggestions from CSR's as to what I should do.

Is there any services that with the right modifications (for a residential line) that could forward multiple calls at a time right away? I know call forwarding busy/no answer will forward at least two calls (as far as I have been able to test) - but the downside is it requires a minimum of two rings, or a busy line before doing this (unless thats changeable?). Call forward variable on the other hand will only forward one call at a time.

On my way to work this morning I saw a Telus van parked on the side of the Hollywood Rd with the telco box hanging wide open....are upgrades happening?! I wished I had more time as I would have pulled over and asked the guy myself! I see these same type of box all over, but some have been changed and look like telco boxes on steroids!
Telus iPhone Webstore order!!

I ordered one of these last week, almost 7 days ago and I have not received my phone yet. I don't even think the order went through properly, so I tried ordering it again yesturday. Every time I call Telus they give me the run around. The webstore tech support hours are mon to fri 9 to 5 and that's it. They have no evening call centre hours. This sucks. What the heck is going on at Telus. If they are sold out why not post this information on the website.
