This question was posted by uid://1677369 where it was not likely to get an answer:

quote:If I am just using a feed to 1 TV, can I split it to a second TV (to watch the same program) without requiring a second box?

Easy way to compare channels on FiosTV and TWC?

I am going to be switching from TWC to FiosTV and was wondering if there way an easy way to compare the offerings from each company. So basically something that would list the channels in alphabetical order side by side and show whether each provider had it or not. I tired doing it on my own just listing each channel in alphabetical order from each providers website but it was not that easy to do. Plus the fact the Fios lists ABC as ABC but TWC lists it as WABC makes it harder to be able to compare the two.

Any suggestions?

[HD] No more Telemundo in HD?

I've noticed this months ago but never posted. Telemundo hasn't been streaming in HD for a while. Is it just happening in SoCal? It just gets frustrating when I'm surfing HD chanels and Ch. 510 goes in SD mode. Don't really watch the channel, only when soccer comes on.

I now have the $30.00 package that includes HBO, Starz, Max and who knows what else. 5 months to go on my contract and 17 months on my price guarantee. Am I asking for trouble if I call and want to change to HBO only?

msnbc live in VHO7 cablevision territories

12:30 about and MSNBC is up in VHO7 in cablevision territories. Previously MSNBC was blocked from these areas except for Olympics coverage. There is no guide data though the channel is live. Is this permanent or temporary? Could the exclusive contract ended?

Where to complain about channel blackout?

So tonight there were 2 college football games on, Georgia/Georgia Tech and Notre Dame/Stanford. ESPN advertised that one game would be on ABC, one would be on ESPN2 depending on geographic location. We had the Georgia game on here on ABC so that should mean that ESPN2 had ND. Instead ESPN2 was completely blacked out.

How do we complain about VZ blacking out a channel when there is an alternate game that should be shown. I understand if only 1 game is being broadcast and it needs to be blacked out (though ESPN does do their filler newscast in that case) but this was really annoying. This situation left no channels available to watch a nationally televised game.

How does this deal look? + a question.

My 2 year contract is expiring in January, so I called and switched to Quad play. I did already receive all 4 services on one bill, but now I get a discount for it.

One important question- Do I lose my 'home to cell for free' minutes because of this switch? I read that in another thread. I HOPE that's not true.

I have:
20/15 internet, up from 20/5 (not really important to me)
HD Extreme - which I didn't have before today. Not sure what to expect.
1 HD stb
1 HD DVR
1 regular stb
Verizon Security suite
HBO
Cinemax
Movies channels
Cell Family Plan with 700 minutes and 4 phones.
$117 Cell service+ $136 for the triple play= $253. ---(4 edits to add this! ouch!)

$253/month Not bad. I pay $283 now and it was going up after January. Plus I get the internet speed upgrade and HD extreme channels. AND Cinemax which I did not have before. Wow, I've just convinced myself. lol

CSR said I was getting a $45 discount. $15 from the quad play, and $30 in credits for the other stuff. I'm only getting my bill reduced by $30 because the HD extreme would have added $15.

So does this look in line with what people are getting? Can someone comment about the free home to cell minutes being erased from the plan, please?

Anyway, I'm pretty happy, and that's all that matters, right? lol

Thanks for reading.
